As spring arrives, so does the excitement for the National Collegiate Landscape Competition (NCLC). Hosted annually by the National Association of Landscape Professionals, this premier event brings together talented students and industry-leading companies passionate about the green industry. Through competitive events, networking opportunities, and the industry's largest career fair, students have the chance to showcase their skills to top employers.
For over 30 years, LID Landscapes has been an active participant, attending each year to network, recruit, and award scholarships to students from across the nation. Explore all that NCLC has to offer and LID Landscapes’ contributions over the years.
The competition includes 30 competitive events from displaying arboriculture techniques and installing hardscapes to computer-aided design and sales presentations where over 600 students across the nation from over 50 distinct colleges and universities, put their knowledge to the test. At the same time, industry-leading companies assess and invite them to join their ever-growing teams.
Alongside competitive events, the NCLC hosts the largest career fair in the landscape industry. Leading landscape companies, like LID Landscapes, set up their booths and recruit students interested in landscape design, horticulture, account management, and related fields. If networking, competing, and carving out a clear career path aren’t sufficient incentives for students, perhaps scholarships can provide that extra boost! The National Collegiate Landscape Competition (NCLC), organized by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP), not only fosters companionship and skill development but also offers valuable scholarships to deserving students.
The National Collegiate Landscape Competition Career Fair provides a remarkable platform for students and professionals alike to connect, learn, and explore exciting opportunities in the field of landscaping. Our team from LID Landscapes engaged with industry leaders, exchanged ideas, and discovered new pathways for growth.
